Samba admn settles 80 cases of DPs

SAMBA, Feb 8:  The district administration Samba today organized a facilitating camp at village Rangoor, Tehsil Ramgarh for Displaced Persons of 1965-1971 war. The programme was organised to assist DPs of villages Rangoor, Bharota, Kamoor in completing documentation required for claiming benefits under Central Government package.
A team of revenue officials led by Deputy Commissioner, Sheetal Nanda, ACR Waseem Raja Khan, Tehsildar HQ Lekh Raj, Tehsildar Raman Chalotra assisted the claimants and provided necessary clarifications. The district administration disposed of more than 80 cases on the spot while the rest of the applicants were advised about supplementary documents required for fulfilling their eligibility.   The DC asked claimants to approach revenue authorities in case any clarification is required and assured that their cases are being followed on regular basis.
She informed that administration has made considerable progress in clearing majority of DPs cases.
