People hold protest

JAMMU, Feb 9: The residents of Jammu West held a protest demonstration highlighting their pending demands, here today.
The protest was led by Sunil Dimple, president, Jammu West Assembly Movement against the BJP-PDP Coalition Government, demanding to construct flyovers at Rehari Chugi and other areas in Jammu city to solve the acute traffic problems.
The protesters also shouted slogans against sitting MLA for not raising the problem in the Legislative Assembly during the ongoing session.
Dimple demanded for starting Metro Rail, Mono Rail and construction of Circular Roads to tackle the traffic hardships faced by the people in Jammu city.
He urged the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to take steps to make a Jammu a Smart City and improve the worst condition of roads by activating the ERA, PWD, R&B, JMC and other agencies and ensure better coordination between all the developmental agencies for optimal results.
