KATHUA/SAMBA, Feb 9: Three persons were killed in three separate road accidents in Samba and Kathua districts today.
According to police an accident took place near CADELA Factory, SIDCO Phase First, Samba with a Trala bearing Registration Number PB 03W 9145 hit a Scooty resulting into the on spot death of scooty rider.
He has been identified as Girdhari Lal, 61, S/O Nattu Ram of Chack Manga Rakwal Samba. Samba Police has taken the cognizance of the matter and registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
The dead body ahs been taken to DH Samba for postmortem, police said.
Police said that at 1200 hrs today an accident took place at Swankha in Ramgarh Sector today after a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK 21D -2445 was hit by a tractor ,resulting into the on spot death of the motorcyclists.
He was identified as Avtar Singh, 20, S/o Bhagwan Singh of Khour Salarian. His body has been kept in mortuary room at CHC Ramgarh for postmortem. The driver of the tractor fled away from the spot. Samba police has registered a case under relevant section of the law and started investigation.
In another accident at village Hamirpur falling under the jurisdiction of Rajbagh Police Station, a 45 year old man died after he was hit by an Alto Car bearing Registration Number JK08A 2480 this afternoon.
He has been identified as Madan Lal, S/O Girdhari Lal of Hamirpur. The driver of the car identified as Abdul Majid Dar of Kulgam rushed the victim to District Hospital Kathua where doctors declared him as brought dead. Later he was taken into custody by police and dead body has been kept in DH Kathua for postmortem.
The Police Station Rajbagh has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
