SRINAGAR, Feb 10: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs, Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered more than 100 bottles of codeine phosphate from his possession here today.
A Police spokesman said that during a routine naka checking at Ali Jan Road Srinagar, a police party of Police Station Soura headed by SHO Soura, intercepted a vehicle and recovered 110 bottles of codeine phosphate.
The drug peddler identified as Bilal Ahmad Rather was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
A case with FIR number 18/2018 under Section 8/22 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Soura and investigation was taken up.
