SRINAGAR, Feb 10: Army assisted in dousing fire which broke out last night in an apple shop at main Rajpora Chowk in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An Army spokesman said that soon after receiving the news about fire, a team from Army unit at Shadimarg swiftly reached the location of the incident and initiated fire fighting with assistance from locals.
“A fire brigade was also called which facilitated in dousing the fire. The early intervention by Army and locals ensured that the fire did not spread to other shops and was contained at an early stage. The locals appreciated the quick actions taken by the Army,” he said.
