JAMMU, Feb 11: 1st Masters (Veteran) Badminton Championship-2018 concluded at Police Badminton Hall, Police Lines here. Gulzar Singh Slathia, retired IGP was the chief guest, while Kiran Wattal, Commissioner (Retd) was the guest of honour.
Dr OD Sharma, Chairman, JKBA and Vice President BAI extended thanks to J&K Police for providing infrastructural facilities for conducting the championship.
Earlier, Balbir Jamwal, General Secretary JKBA presented welcome address.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Pawanjeet, Raju Chawla, Sarvanan, KS Jamwal, Ravinder Parihar, Mirza Sultan.
The matches were played as per BAI rules under the supervision of Satpal Sharma, SAI Badminton Coach Balbir Jamwal and Rahul Sharma, referee.
The winners in various age categories included Puran Chand, Sanjeev Arora, Vivek Slathia, Ramesh Sharma, Gurvinder and Lalit, Sarvanan and Vivek, Pawanjeet and Mirza, Daljit and Raju, Ramesh and N. Khajuria, Balbir and Ravinder, Rajinder Sodhi, Kirti Sharma, Mirdula Gupta, Basanti and Kirti.
