VHP’s concern over continuing infiltration from across border

JAMMU, Dec 1: VHP today said that despite spending hundreds of crores of rupees on  border fencing, installing flood lights, scanners, satellites etc to detect infiltration, the Union Government has failed to achieve the desired results as infiltration and pumping of fake currency, smuggling of narcotics and arms and ammunition continues from across the border.
This was alleged by VHP State president, Dr Rama Kant Dubey while talking to reporters here today along with Dr VK Gupta and Dr Shayam the senior leaders of the organisation here today.
Dr Dubey said 13 tones of RDX has been recovered in the militancy-ravaged State since 1989 till date.
He said that all the claims of the Government regarding plugging of infiltration routes are baseless as smuggling of narcotics, arms and ammunition besides pumping of fake currency goes unabated. He said security forces so far have seized 31,000 ak rifles, 11,055 pistols, 1027 UMGs, 79 carbine, 219 LMGs, 69 general purpose machine guns, 295 rifles, 2262 rockets projectlile guns, 2830 rocket boosters, 70071 ak magazines, 11055 pistol magazines, 1321 umg magazines, 150 lmg magazines, 31 carbine magazines & 32 telescopes, 6000 IEDs, 63000 grenades and 70000 detonates.
Dr Dubey, said even those misguided youth who crossed border to seek arms training in Pakistan got married there and now they are returning along with their children and wives posing a grave security threat to this nation.
He said under these circumstances the Government of India should not go ahead with dialogue process with Pakistan as it has become a grave security threat to India. He said India being a country of 1.25 billion population should in strong and categorical terms ask Pakistan and other nations to stop anti India tirade on their soil.
