JAMMU, Feb 25: Contin-uing with the practice of indulging into wrong doings, University of Jammu (JU) entered into a criminal conspiracy with the private BEd colleges to pick up favourite examiners for conducting Final Teaching Practice in private BEd colleges affiliated with Jammu University in violation of the norms so as to facilitate excellent scores to students for extraneous reasons.
This was stated today by Dr Vikas Sharma, president, National Secular Forum (NSF) in a press conference held here. He alleged that the Project Director prepared the list of approved examiners and allotted duties for examining the Final Teaching Practice in private BEd colleges but the people at the helm of affairs at Department of Education with the active connivance of Colleges Development Council (CDC) spurned the approved list in order to extend illegitimate favour to the students of private BEd colleges allegedly for monetary considerations.
Dr Vikas said that the people in Department of Education ignore the roaster prepared by the Project Director and send experts of their own choice so as to please the owners of private BEd colleges who wanted examiners of their choice to give excellent marks to the students on Teaching Practice.
The authorities in Department of Education are totally hand in glove with the CDC authorities of Jammu University to extend undue benefit to the students of private BEd colleges, he alleged adding, had the allotted examiners gone to observe Teaching Practice it would have been difficult for students to get scores easily.
He said that in order to enhance the reputation of their colleges in Teaching Practice, the results of private BEd colleges are worked out in nexus with University authorities and got examiners of their own choice grossly in an illegal manner, thus denting probity and propriety of the well established system and procedures.
Dr Vikas demanded that matter be probed and it shall be examined whether the approved examiners were sent for the duty as per the list prepared by the Project Director or same was fudged.
