KATHUA, Feb 26: The worsening condition of Billawar to Katli road is a cause of worry for the daily commuter as drivers of vehicles face hardships to drive the vehicles on this muddy road.
A little rainfall causes serious problems for buses and matadors plying on the road as the landslides and muck comes on the road and blocks it.
The Ex-Deputy Speaker and National Conference leader, Ghulam Hyder Malik alleged that this road is only way to connect Lohai Malhar block to Billawar Headquarter and a large number of students studying in higher classes at Billawar also visit through this road.
But they can not reach to their destination during the rainy season. The PWD did not pay attention to renovate the road and remove the landslides, he said.
The road is also in worst condition and caused routine accidents. He has demanded   upgrading and blacktopping of the road. He has also approached Chief Engineer, PWD to take care of it and frame a road map to upgrade the road.
