JAMMU, Mar 2: Hundreds of educated unemployed were made to suffer and virtually subjected to cruel joke by the Health and Medical Education Department as promotion quota posts of Senior Staff Nurse were referred to the State Services Selection Board (SSB), which advertised the same inviting application from eligible persons, who are now being asked to get refund of their application fee.
After more than two months since the advertisement of the post, the applicants are now being asked to submit their account details to JKSSB Divisional Office Jammu/Srinagar by March 20, 2018 for getting refund of their fee.
The Health and Medical Education Department had referred these 89 posts of Senior Staff Nurse to the JKSSB vide indent number ME/NG/147/2017, dated 23-10-2017. These referred posts were advertised vide advertisement notification number 05 of 2017, dated 06-12-2017 under item number 05/2017/05 and application from eligible candidates were invited through online mode on www.ssbjk.in. Last date for submission of online forms was 30-12-2017.
However, after more than two months since referring the posts to SSB and a day before the last date for submission of the application forms, the Health and Medical Education Department realized its mistake and vide letter number ME/NG/147/2017, dated 29-12-2017 intimated that these 89 posts of Senior Grade Nurse, referred to the Board, were promotion quota posts as per the Government order number 26-HME of 2006, dated 19-01-2006 and were inadvertently sent to the SSB.
Following this communiqué, the SSB has now withdrawn these posts ab initio and asked the candidates, who have successfully submitted their forms, to get refund of their fee by submitting details of their bank account, IDSC code etc.
A number of such candidates, who rang up the Excelsior office, said that they were feeling cheated by the Health and Medical Education Department authorities, which were apparently in deep slumber while referring the posts to SSB.
