TUMAKURU (KARNATAKA): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that with the demographic advantage India boasted with having 65 per cent of youth under 35 years, they can change the destiny of the country provided they take a oath to take the country to a new level.

Addressing a youth convention, through video conference, organized by Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram here on Sunday as part of the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s address at UNO Conference at Chicago and Sister Nivedita’s 150th birth anniversary, he said the country’s cause should remain over and above any thoughts of the youth.

Mr Modi said he found out that there was always something to learn from the youth and the Indian young generation was world beaters as they had already exhibited their talent in the country and abroad. This youth power can take the country to new heights in the 21st century, he added.

Recalling the services of Swami Vivekananda, the Prime Minister said he had invested his life in nation building, by making service to the people akin to service to the God.

Mr Modi said youth must understand that their body and mind should be healthy. Such campaign for clean mind and body has been finding acceptance among the youth in Karnataka and he was happy about this positive development. (AGENCIES)
