JAMMU, Dec 3:  Jammu and Kashmir United School Teachers Association (USTA) today expressed deep anguish over the non-disbursement of salary to the teachers working under SSA for last four months and urged the State Project Director, SSA, to take necessary measures for disbursement of their salary at an earliest.
The Association which met here today under the chairmanship of provincial president, Hari Singh, warned the Government of massive protest demonstration on December 12, 2012 at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park if their demands are not fulfilled at the earliest.
The meeting also took strong exception over non-releasing of DPC of headmasters, lecturers, fourth class workers and other non-teaching staff of Education Department, as many of these have retired without getting the benefit of promotion. Other demands highlighted by the Association included selection grade for trained under-graduate teachers, removal of pay anomalies in master grade and filling of vacant posts of teachers in schools.
