JAMMU, Mar 5: Commercial Taxes Department has issued notices to 192 dealers under relevant provisions of Goods and Services Tax legislation.
An official spokesman said that the Commercial Tax Department has launched a comprehensive drive to conduct surveys and sensitize the dealers liable to pay Goods and Services Tax under GST legislation applicable in the State.
During the drive, 1691 dealers were surveyed and notices were issued under relevant provisions of law in 192 cases. As a consequence of survey and sensitization, 1253 dealers have registered on GSTN Portal and GST dues to the tune of Rs 5.1 crore have been recovered.
