JAMMU, Mar 6: Domana police rescued a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused within 25 days.
As per police sources, a complaint was filed around 25 days back by a family stating that their daughter has been kidnapped by Rohit Sharma, a resident of Kanachack.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 63/18 under Section 366 RPC was registered at Domana Police Station and hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped girl and arrest the accused.
On specific information, a team from Domana Police Station conducted raid in Vijaypur area and rescued the kidnapped girl. The accused tried to escape from the spot, but the cops nabbed him after a brief chase.
The girl has been handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Sumeet Sharma traced out the kidnapped girl and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
