JAMMU, Mar 6: An absconder, who was evading his arrest, has landed into Bakshi Nagar police net.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bakshi Nagar Police Station conducted raid and arrested the absconder, who was at large since long.
The accused has been identified as Sonu Batwal, son of late Dhani Ram, a resident of Shakti Nagar
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 244/2008 under Sections 341 and 323 RPC with Police Station Bakshi Nagar. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Naresh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Pranav Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
