RAMNAGAR, Mar 9: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar today launched road works and also convened Janta Darbar for spot redressal of public grievances in far-off and hitherto neglected areas of Bhugtriyan, Chanunta, Parkha and Johar where huge gatherings of public were present and large number of public issues were raised. Directions were issued to the officers of line departments for resolving these common issues at an earliest.
He kick started work on three main roads in this area. Bhugtriyan to Lower Punj Grain (5.500 km) at an estimated cost of Rs 3.35 crore, Chanunta-Battal (3.700 km) at an estimated cost of Rs 0.96 crore and Parkha to upper Chanunta (8.32 km) at an estimated cost of Rs 4.59 crore.
Pathania, while speaking on the occasion, informed that work on these roads will be completed within a stipulated time period of 18 months and thereafter Phase-II work (which includes blacktopping) will be initiated. Pathania said that these roads when completed will boost up the development scenario in these otherwise backward areas which san development.
While addressing the public during Janta Darbar, Pathania sensitized the public about various Central sponsored public welfare schemes and asked the public to come forward and avail benefits of these public friendly schemes.
At Chanunta, Pathania announced that stalled work on HSS Chanunta will be started very soon as the DPR has been prepared and funds are being awaited. Pertinently work on HSS Chanunta was started wayback in 2004 but due to lackluster approach of those at the helm of affairs work was abandoned midway and students were shelved in MS Chanunta.
Pathania further announced water supply facility for Sager, Dadan and Chalounti to provide drinking water. Reacting to public demands, the MLA announced a slew of developmental works which included water supply scheme for Katersoo (ST Morha), Tractor road from Katersoo to Gujjar Basti, Road connecting Main road Chanunta to Parkaha.
Pathania also directed for early preparation of DPRs of Tractor road from Johar to Round, Johar to Parkha, and playground at Johar so that work on these projects can be initiated immediately.
