JAMMU, Dec 4: Core Committee of All Kashmiri Migrants Relief Holders of Jagti was held today in which grave concern was expressed over the delaying tactics adopted by Union Government on enhancement of cash relief despite the repeated pleas by the migrant organizations.
The meeting, which was chaired by Ajay Bhat said though relief holders have given a deadline up to December 4 to be followed by a rally to Civil Secretariat on December 5 but the same has been postponed as December 5 being a holiday.
The meeting said that the next date of agitation programme will be announced soon.
A fervent appeal was made to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for restoration of electricity to Jagti township which is facing over 16 hour power curtailment in 24 hours. The power cuts have affected the studies of the children whose exams are coming near, it added.
It also reiterated the demand regarding setting up of two police posts in Jagti township.
