KATHUA, Mar 13: One person was killed after the Alto car he was driving hit a divider on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Mirpur near here late last night.
He has been identified as Tilak Raj, 30, son of Naseeb Singh of Ped Balole Kathua.
Police said the car bearing registration number JK 08 F, 6886 was on its way to Ped Balole and after reaching Mirpur the driver lost the control on the steering and the car hit the divider.
He was shifted to District Hospital Kathua in a serious condition where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to the family members today after postmortem at DH Kathua for last rites. Besides driver another person was also traveling in the car but he is safe.
The Raj Bagh Police Station has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
