NEW DELHI, Mar 14: Aluminium prices hardened by 0.48 per cent to Rs 136.20 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions, taking positive cues from the spot market on pick up in demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery March edged up by 65 paise, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 136.20 per kg in a business turnover of 456 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April contracts was trading higher by 55 paise, or 0.40 per cent, at Rs 136.85 per kg in 19 lots.
Market analysts said widening positions by traders due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the physical market led to the rise in aluminium prices at futures trade. (PTI)
