JAMMU, Dec 5: Supporting the four attached PDD employees, allegedly involved in the power theft in Parveen Colony area of Gandhi Nagar EM&RE Sub Division-I, Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) leader Shakti Gupta has warned to launch agitation.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the chairmanship of Mr Gupta here today, the union members expressed resentment against the action taken by the Chief Engineer PDD (M&RE) against the three Meter Readers and a Lineman of the department, whose connivance was established in providing illegal electricity supply through ‘Kundi system’ in Bagri Market, Parveen Colony in Trikuta Nagar Extension during inspection by a team led by SE, PDD last week. They termed this action as unjustified and warned that employees will start agitation against the action. An FIR has already stand registered with police in this connection for power theft by the department.
