JDA seals 4 shops at ISBT

JAMMU, Mar 15: As part of its anti-encroachment drive, Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has sealed 4 shops illegally occupied at ISBT Narwal, here.
The sealing was done on the direction of RK Shavan, Vice Chairman JDA,  in presence of Director Land Management Devinder Singh Katoch, KAS alongwith Tehsildar JDA Zone -B, Khilafwarzi Officer JDA, Khilafwarzi Inspectors with the assistance of police force provided by the police post Narwal under the supervision of Incharge Narwal Police Post.
The sealed notices duly signed by Director Land Management, JDA were also pasted on every shop after sealing.
It is pertinent to mention here that these shops were illegally occupied by trespassing and have been sealed after serving them the notice on March 9, 2018 for vacating the same as per the directions of Authority and decision taken by Board of Directors of JDA in its steering committee meeting held on December 12, 2017. But when these occupants failed to furnish/provide any related legal documents regarding allotment of shops within stipulated time given in the notice, the action was taken and shops were sealed accordingly.
VC JDA has given clear instructions to Khilafwarzi/ Revenue wing of JDA to keep their records updated and ready so that in future no JDA property can be misused or encroached. Any dereliction in performing their duties will be viewed seriously.
