Jammu border vulnerable:Govt

NEW DELHI, Dec 5:
The Indo-Pak border in Jammu region is highly vulnerable to armed infiltration from Pakistan, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.
Minister of State for Home Mullappally Ramachandran said due to effective domination of Border Security Force, there has been no incident of armed infiltration in the area from Pakistan during the last three years and the current year.
However, 111 people were apprehended along the border in the region till October 12 while they were trying to infiltrate into India, he said.
The Minister said a total of 289 infiltrators were apprehended by the border guarding force between 2009-11 along the Indo-Pak border. (PTI)
