JAMMU, Mar 16: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee headed by its chairman, Ghulam Rasool Mir called on Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti in her office here today and projected core issues and demands pending for disposal.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Rohit Kansal was also present during the meeting. Major issues which were discussed in detailed included implementation of cadre review report as accepted by Chief Minister followed by concurrence of Finance Department, ensure early submission of complete cadre review report by the committee and its timely implementation for GAD (left out), Planning, Accounts and Legal Services, restore slots meant for feeding services (promotion quota) diverted to direct recruits in violation of rules/Apex Court judgement.
They further demand to implement standing orders of Government regarding detachment of attached staff, provide sufficient funds for completion of works viz construction/reconstruction of Residential quarters for Darbar move employees as proposed both at Srinagar and Jammu, acquire sericulture land as proposed and start construction of quarters at Srinagar, provide residential quarters in favour of lady, handicapped and suffering from chronic diseases employees in relaxation of rules, review SRO 202 for its revocation, resolve pay anomaly (Disparity in grades) issue with the 7th Pay Commission as per commitment of the Government in time, to constitute special cell for cadre review/career progression of Non-Gazetted employees of all services as per standing guidelines/framework for smooth running/functioning of the Government.
Chief Minister gave patient hearing to the representatives of the employees and issued directions to the authorities to resolve these long pending issues immediately without further delay.
