Speaking to large public gatherings at Nowpora and Hafroo Batapora, the Minister while highlighting the vital importance of the Roads and Bridges said it would bring a turnaround in the socio-economic emancipation in this backward and Kandi area of the State. He said since road connectivity is primarily imperative for boosting trade and business activities the present Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has flagged infrastructure development as top priority, adding that a massive reconstruction and upgradation of basic infrastructure in nook and corner of the State is under way in full swing.
Mr. Rather reiterated his resolve to develop Char-i-Sharif Constituency as a model Constituency in the State, adding that 90 percent of the plan conceived for the purpose has been accomplished and this dream will come true up to 2014 positively.
He said some defeated elements and divisive forces are not happy with the development of the State and performance of the Government and are disparately trying to hoodwink the public opinion by raising frivolous issues. But the people of the State are aware about their nefarious designs and will not allow them to play with cause and interests of the people of the State.
