JAMMU, Mar 17 : Governor N. N. Vohra has conveyed his greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message, Governor observed that the Navratras have a special importance for the lakhs of pilgrims who visit the shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji during this holy period to seek blessings of the goddess.
Governor extended his warm greetings to all Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate this auspicious day as Navreh, the beginning of the New Year and the onset of spring.
Governor prayed that this occasion will become the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity and peace, and bring progress and prosperity for the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has also greeted people of the State on the occasion of Navratras and Navreh.
In her message, the Chief Minister said such festivals seek us to ask for divine blessings and forgiveness. She also extended greetings on the occasion of Navreh, the onset of spring.
The Chief Minister hoped that the two festivals become the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity and peace, and bring progress and prosperity for the people of the State.
