The protesters raised slogans against Traffic Police and district administration for lifting and rehris and fadis, on which their families were depended for their livelihood.
They condemned the move of Traffic Police, which rendered poor daily earners jobless.
They urged the present Government to permit the poor workers to re-install their rehris, as traffic police has created havoc in over past one month by forcibly evicting them from Jammu city due to which they are deprived to feed their families.
“Government needs to become facilitator in allowing its vast poor population to earn their livelihood by starting their small ventures, but it looks extremely strange that one of its premier agencies has rendered them jobless and Government seems to be a silent spectator”, they added.
On getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and pacified the agitators.
