JAMMU, Mar 20: Expressing serious concern over the casualties taking place in border areas of Jammu province due to unprecedented firing from Pak army, the National Panthers Students Union has demanded construction of bunkers in the border areas on fast track.
Addressing a press conference, here today, NPSU State president Thakur Virender Singh
alleged that whenever such incidents take place, the State Government Ministers make promises of give residential plots to the suffering people and also building bunkers for the safety of the people, but nothing is done in reality. “This is a serious issue but the Govt is not showing seriousness regarding this,” he said and added that no politics would be tolerated on the lives of the people.
Lauding the courage of people residing near the Indo-Pak border, Singh said that these inhabitants were paying heavy price for cross border firings. He further said that the Central Government should take stern action in such matters against the perpetrators of such crimes and teach Pakistan a lesson.
The NPSU leader warned that if grievances of the border area people are not addressed, the Government would have to face anger of the masses, who are feeling cheated by the present dispensation.
