JKAC projects demands

JAMMU, Mar 20: All J&K Ayurvedic Congress (JKAC) today projected their demands in its working committee meeting held here under the chairmanship of its State president, Dr BD Gupta.
All the district presidents of the Congress participated in the meeting and discussed various steps that should be taken up by the Government for logical upliftment of AYUSH system in the State.
The speakers reiterated the demand of bifurcation of State level AYUSH Directorate and establishment of Provincial Directorates as recommended by high power State Finance Commission, streamlining the department of AYUSH which is in shambles and in most pathetic condition, provision of non-gazetted staff for 45 single handed dispensaries and provision of administrative staff for newly created eight districts.
The meeting also stressed for regularization of 74 non-sanctioned dispensaries and Ksharsutra/Panchakarma units at Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu, provision of technical and non-technical staff for newly established Government Ayurvedic College at Jammuand provision of two posts of B grade specialists at each district headquarter in order to provide specialist expertise to ailing people.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Dr Kartar Singh, general secretary, JKAC and Dr TR Gupta, organizing secretary, All India Ayurvedic Congress.
