SAMBA, Mar 21:The irate people of Chak Ram Chand, Supwal in Vijaypur area of Samba district and relatives of Seema Devi who died yesterday after family planning operation was performed on her at Accidental Hospital Vijaypur today blocked Jammu -Pathankot National Highway at Vijaypur for three hours along with the dead body demanding action against the erring doctors under law with due compensation to the family of victim and a Government job to her next kin.
Holding hospital administration responsible for the death they demanded a high level probe into the matter and action against the erring doctors.

The villagers including relatives and family members of the deceased women gathered  at Main Chowk, Vijaypur along with the body of the lady after its postmortem was conducted in Ramgarh Hospital. Shouting slogans against the hospital administration, Health Department, district administration and State Government, the protesters blocked Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Vijaypur and paralyzed the vehicular movement on both sides of the highway. They said  that the ill fated lady went to Vijaypur Accidental Hospital for family planning operation yesterday and she was physically fit at that time .They said she died due to the negligence of the doctors. The doctors hide their ineffectiveness and referred her to Government Medical College Jammu, where doctors declared her as brought dead, they added.
They demanded to immediate suspension of the Gynecologist Dr Anshu Charak who is posted in Accidental Hospital Vijaypur and also strict action be taken against the team of doctors who were present during the surgery time.
Kuldeep Raj husband of the deceased lady Seema Devi said that yesterday morning they went to Vijaypur Accidental Hospital for family planning operation and his wife was physically fit but after the surgery  her condition deteriorated and he  informed the doctor many times  that her condition is deteriorating. The doctor asked me to call the doctor who gave  anesthesia to her as no one can take the responsibility of her at this juncture.
He said later she was referred to GMC Jammu where doctors declared her as brought dead.
Kuldeep said that the strict action taken action be taken against the doctors so that they do not do such type of act in future.
After receiving the information ADC Samba Tilak Raj Sharma, CMO Samba Rajinder Samyal, ASP Samba Adil Raja Hamid and SHO, Vijaypur rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the situation.  After the assurance of  the ADC and CMO Samba the protestors agreed and lifted the Highway blockade.
While addressing the protestors, CMO Samba Rajinder Samyal said that the concerned  doctor Anshu Charak has been attached to the CMO Office and the investigation has also been ordered in this case. He also assured compensation to the family members of the deceased lady.
