JCC seeks employees’ support for two-day strike

KATHUA, Dec 6: A joint team of three major EJAC groups of the district led by Abdul Qayoom Wani, Khurshid Alam and Mohd Gafoor Dar, under the banner of Employees Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) visited different offices enroute to Billawar, addressed the employees and sought their support for two days strike on December 14 and 15 to force the Government to fulfill the agreements reached between high power State Committee and JCC.
The team visited various offices like Forest Department, ZEO office Billawar, BDO Office Billawar, Cooperative Departments and CEO office Kathua to gathered support from the employees for two days strike.
Addressing the employees at various places, speakers said the Government had agreed to fulfill all the demands of the employees which included enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, regularization of all daily rated workers, contractual and need based workers besides financial support to public sector employees, up to September 30, 2012, in the agreement made between HPSC and JCC on September 15, 2011 and July 8, 2012, but it failed to fulfill the agreement till now, forcing them to go on strike.
Those who accompanied the team from Kathua were Kuldeep Singh, Amarnath Thakur, Om Prakash, Mohinder Raina, Surinder Mehta, and many others.
