SRINAGAR,  Mar 22:  President  Jammu and Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil  today said youth are a future of any nation and also act as a vehicle of change.
Addressing a youth convention in Srinagar today Vakil  termed youth as the vehicle of change and main source of success of a nation. He called upon the youth to use their potential and energies in nation building and in creating a new Jammu and Kashmir, which should be a source of inspiration for the rest of the country and the world.
Lashing out at the ruling dispensation, Vakil said the youth of the State have been alienated and suffocated by “repressive policies” of  the Government.  “The confrontational approach of the Government has created an environment of despair and brought helplessness  among the youth. In such a grim atmosphere, our youth are  being robbed of their right to dream of a prosperous future. The  youth feel cheated and betrayed after promises made to them were either broken or unapologetically abandoned, ” he added.
“The Jammu and Kashmir Bachao Tehreek is with a mission to fight the dynasty rule that has ruined the state since independence of India. We have to set a new political discourse in the state by making everyone accountable. This new political order shall be based on truth and honesty,” Vakil maintained.
He said that historically it has been the youth who were responsible for bringing social and political revolutions in different societies across the world. Now with the advent of technology and internet and with the rise of social media, the youth can play a big role in changing the society,” he said.
Vakil said youth have an important role to change the political, governance narrative and rewrite a new history for the State, where they can live without anyone suspecting them.
