UDHAMPUR, Mar 23: Taking yet another step towards the growth and development of the students, Udhampur Campus of Jammu University organized mega placement drive to provide job opportunities to the students of Udhampur Campus in particular and other institutes and colleges of region in general.
Prof Hardeep Chahal, Rector, Udhampur Campus and Dr Neetu Kumari, HoD, Department of Commerce, Udhampur Campus, stressed upon the need of creating more and more job opportunities in the State especially for the students who hail from far flung areas so as to cater the needs of unemployed youth in the State.
The drive was conducted by Meenakshi Tickoo, MD, AES Digital World and Chander Pandita, Marketing Manager, AES Digital World. In a pre-counseling placement session, they gave detailed information about the organization and the placements carried out by them in various parts of the State. They explained the entire selection process to the students and also made them aware that how they have successfully placed students in different multinational companies like Wipro, HCL, KPMG, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, etc. The placement drive received an overwhelmed response and more than 100 students from various institutions of the district participated in the drive and got an opportunity to showcase their potential.
At the end, Jhanvi Khanna, Lecturer, Department of Economics, Udhampur Campus, concluded the placement drive. She also assured that events of such type will be carried in future also.
The whole process was conducted under the supervision of Pradeep Kumar, Lecturer, Department of Commerce, Udhampur Campus. He suggested the students to make full use of their technical skills for employability to various organizations.
