Army compensation for porter

SRINAGAR, Mar 25: Army today gave compensation to a porter who was injured last year in Tanhgar while slipping on  a rocky patch.
Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Dringla village Gundi Shat in Tangdhar, was enrolled as a defence porter with the Porter Company and worked with complete dedication. On 24 Jun 2017, Fayaz Ahmad accidentally slipped on a rocky patch and sustained multiple injuries and was bedridden post hospitalisation.
Last week, the Army handed over a compensation of Rs 2,76,682  to Faiyaz Ahmad in appreciation of his sterling work for the organisation. The efforts undertaken by the Army was highly lauded and appreciated by him and his family members.
