JAMMU, Mar 25: As a part of International Childhood Cancer Day, an excursion was organized for children under treatment at Pediatric Cancer Ward of SMGS Hospital Jammu as well as the children who have successfully completed their treatment.
During the tour, children wrote their wishes on kites and flew them. They enjoyed the rides, toy train and battery cars being the biggest attraction for them.
Dr Mushtaq, Director JKSACS, Dr Rekha Harish, Prof & Head Department of Pediatrics & Dr R K Sangra, Medical Superintendent SMGS Hospital Jammu, accompanied the children. They distributed gifts among the children. This event was organized by Pediatric Cancer Ward SMGS Hospital Team comprising of Dr Sanjeev K Digra, Prof & Consultant I/C Pediatric Cancer Ward, Dr Ravi Parihar, Dr Falak, Suruchi Sharma and Sister Suraiya under the supervision of Prof & HoD Dr Rekha Harish with the support of CANKIDS KIDSCAN, an NGO working for children with cancer.
