PDP working for equitable development, peace: Madni

JAMMU, Mar 29:  People’s Democratic Party (PDP) vice president,  Sartaj Madni today said that ensuring  equitable development in all the three regions  and restore peace and prosperity in the State, was core agenda of the PDP and the party was taking all possible measures in this regard.
While addressing PDP workers and general public  at  Guru Nabha Dass Sabha Hall, near Dogra Hall in Jammu today, senior PDP leader said that  Mufti Mohammad Sayeed founded PDP with a sole objective to get the State out of  turmoil and accord them the rights they were craving for since decades. He further said that  Mufti Sayeed laid the foundation of the PDP by investing all the six decades of his political experience and was successful in making PDP a guiding force in J&K’s  political landscape.
Madni said that it was the outcome of the earnest efforts of the PDP founder that the people of the State who had to bear the brunt of institutionalised corruption, anarchy and nepotism, are now looking forward to witness new horizons of peace and stability.
He added that when the PDP formed the Government in the State post 2002 elections for the first time, there was a major change witnessed in both the political as well as in the administrative set up of the State.  “The PDP is the only party which has been keeping all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh intact and united, maintaining the equitable growth and fulfillment of the regional aspirations all the sub regions,” Madni added.
The PDP leader said that the present regime led by the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has been treading the same path which was shown to the people by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and new era of development is being witnessed in Jammu as well as in the Kashmir region. He said the CM  has been on a forefront in making the system of governance more people friendly and transparent in the State and undo the blunders that the past regime committed.
The meeting was organized by Rajinder Manhas,  District president for Jammu Urban and prominent among those present included Ved Mahajan, Dhaman Bhasin,  Vijay Dogra, Bushan Lal Dogra, Falail Singh,  SP Charak, Amreek Singh Reen,   Surjeet Kour, Jasmeet Kour and Balbir Singh.
