RAJOURI, Mar 30: While indefinite bandh continued  on the 43rd  consecutive day today in Nowshera town, the people under Joint Action Committee (JAC) decided to march to Jammu on April 4.
The shops and other business establishments  besides banks remained closed today. The school and college students are also boycotting classes since long and staging protest along with locals. All the people irrespective of their party affiliations have launched  this strike/ protest dharna.
The Joint Action Committee led massive protest march in the town during the day today and later after passing through various markets in the entire town, the agitating people sat on day long dharna at Patel Chowk. Many women and children also joined the protest  today.
They raised slogans against Government and also in support of their demand of district status or placement of ADDC there and opening of at least one district level office there.   The speakers claimed that they were not satisfied with the  post of ADC and had been struggling for District status. The Govt at least should appoint ADDC and Nowshera should not be equated with Sunderbani,  Kalakote  and  Kotranka.
Meanwhile, in Budhal town also, the people took out protest march today. The people are agitating for the last several days.   They were demanding Sub Divisional status for Budhal and posting of SDM and Tehsildar there. They said  Budhal was Tehsil way back  but it was shifted to Kotranka by conspiracy by NC leadership.  Again, it was given Tehsil status in 2007 but till today Tehsildar was not posted there.
