RAJOURI, Mar 30: The police seized two vehicles along with 12 bovine animals in district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that a police party from Chingus Police post led by SI Fareed Ahmed during naka at Kallar intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK20/5057 during early hours today but his driver seeing police ahead stooped vehicle at some distance from naka point and escaped. The police seized vehicle and rescued seven bovine animals being smuggled to Kashmir. A case was registered in this connection at Police Station Rajouri.
SHO Thannamandi, Insp Nazir Ahmed Dar during naka at Manyal Gali last night seized Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-11B/ 0262. The police found five bovine animals loaded in the vehicle, without valid permission of transportation. The police arrested its driver namely, Altaf Mohd, son of Mohd Feroz, hailing from Thannamandi area. A case was registered in this connection.
