JAMMU, Mar 31: Students preparing for J&K Common Entrance Test (JKCET) and NDA Exam are puzzled and the reason behind their dilemma is that both the examinations are being held on the same date, i.e, April 22, 2018.
This announcement has confused students regarding the entrance exam as they can now only appear for one entrance exam. Many students of the State have applied for entrance in both these institutions and are now in a fix.
They have urged the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) authorities, which conduct JKCET, to shift the date of their entrance exam so that students do not miss out on either one.
Pertinent to mention here that through JKCET, which is conducted once a year, a candidate can get admission to Bachelor’s of Engineering (BE). On the other hand, NDA exam is a gateway to get an entry in the Defence Forces like Army, Navy and Air Force. The exam is organized by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in various cities across the country. It is a national level examination, which is conducted two times in one year, namely NDA I and NDA II.
