Kidnapped person traced

SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Police has traced a person who was kidnapped and then left injured in the Pakherpora area of the Budgam district. A land dispute with his relatives is believed to be behind the cause of this stage-managed kidnapping.
A police spokesman said that some unknown masked men kidnapped 50 years old, Ali Mohammad Wagay, a forest guard posted at Nilnagh, Chadoora son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kanidajan-Pakherpora, from his house.
“Police swiftly launched a search operation and traced the kidnapped person from an open field away from his house with serious injuries. He was shifted to hospital for treatment. Charar-i-Sharief police registered a case in this regard and during investigation, the statement of the kidnapped person was recorded who identified the kidnappers,” said the police spokesman.
The spokesman said that a land dispute between the forest guard and his relatives is believed to be the reason behind his kidnapping. His adversaries had stage managed the kidnapping to intimidate him to coerce a settlement. Police has launched the manhunt for the kidnappers.
