JAMMU, Mar 31: After taking a feed back from the Sangh Parivar functionaries and top BJP leadership in J&K, RSS Sah Sarkaraywah Dr Manmohan Vaidya today concluded his two-day visit to Jammu on a disappointing note over the performance of saffron brigade as ruling coalition partner with regard to some recent developments in the Jammu province.
Reliable sources told the Excelsior that Dr Vaidya held a series of meetings with RSS functionaries and top BJP leaders, wherein various issues confronting Jammu, besides organizational matters, were discussed in detail.
In the hour long meeting with BJP leaders, which was held this morning, sources said that Dr Vaidya sought to ascertain the reasons behind taking no clear stand by the party on vital issues like illegal settlement of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis here, Rassana incident and purported migration of some Hindu families following alleged harassment by Police, Nowshera agitation and alleged attempts of demographic change.
State BJP president Sat Sharma, general secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul and State general secretary Dr Narinder Singh took part in the meeting and sought to explain the party position with regard to the issues pointed out by the RSS leader, sources added.
Apparently not satisfied with the excuses made by the BJP leaders, sources said that Dr Vaidya conveyed the party about negative feed back received by him in the series of meetings with Sangh Parivar functionaries and intellectuals here.
Pertinent to mention that before meeting with the BJP leaders, Dr Vaidya held a series of interactions since yesterday with the Sangh Parivar functionaries and intellectuals, who were learnt to have apprised him about the alleged failures of the saffron brigade in affectively taking up Jammu centric issues in the Government with the consequent resentment brewing up among people in this region, where the party was given historic mandate and won 25 seats in the last Assembly polls.
Sources said that point wise discussion was held on the Jammu centric issues and the feed back was later discussed with the BJP leaders with the note of disappointment by the RSS top functionary.
However, sources added, no meeting was held with the BJP Minister to avoid sending a message of RSS intervention into the functioning of State Government and its routine affairs.
As already reported by the Excelsior in today’s edition, RSS at a certain level is contemplating a review of its stand on sharing of power by BJP in Jammu and Kashmir owing to compulsion and restrictions of the coalition, which are ultimately denting the image of saffron brigade.
Dr Manmohan Vaidya, whose visit was scheduled as Prachar Parmukh before being appointed as Sah-Sarkaraywah during the recently held Akhil Bhartiya Mahaadiveshan at Nagpur, is likely to discuss the two-day feedback and role of BJP with the top RSS leadership, sources said.
When contacted, a senior RSS functionary claimed that the Sah-Sarkaraywah’s visit was in connection with discussing the organizational matters as a routine affair and there was nothing political in the same.
