JAMMU, Apr 1: J&K Branch of NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India organised seminar on bank audits.
CA Amarjeet Chopra, past President ICAI and CA Ajay Jain, renowned speaker on bank audit, were the guest speakers with extensive and detailed knowledge about the topic. The guest speakers equipped Chartered Accountants with all the required information and updates regarding latest RBI circulars in order to detect and report the frauds happening in banking sector. Both the speakers answered a number of queries of the members.
Audits of banks are an annual exercise and is challenging for the Chartered Accountants due to reporting of frauds by the management of the banks.
CA Anish Abrol, Secretary of the branch, delivered the inaugural address, introduced the guests and presented the formal vote of thanks.
CA Ajay Gupta, Chairman of the branch, presented welcome address. Executive Committee Member CA. Ashwani Khajuria and CA. Jatinder Jaswal were also present on the occasion.
