ReT Forum demands streamlining of SSA salary, transfer policy

UDHAMPUR, Apr 1: A monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of district president Udhampur, Lekh Raj Parihar for highlighting the issues and demands of the ReT cadre.
The meeting was attended by the delegates of ReT Forum from all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion, Lekh Raj Parihar expressed his grave concern on the burning issue of SSA salary which is pending for last two months due to which the families of these teachers are living miserable lives as they are unable to avail even basic facilities. He said they have been hoping that Education Minister who is also holding the Finance Ministry would get them out of this crisis by resolving this crucial issue, but due to delay in releasing salaries, they have been losing their patience.
He said that arrears of ReTs regularised since 2015 are also pending, beside comprehensive transfer policy for regularised ReTs as announced by education minister on the floor of the House.
Lekh Raj appealed the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Education Minister and Finance Minister Altaf Bukhari to intervene in this regard and absorb SSA posts under State plan to find permanent solution of this chronic issue of SSA salary so that more than 40000 SSA teachers of the State may not suffer any more and their attention from schools not be diverted due to non release of salary.
He also appealed the Director School Education Jammu to issue regularization orders in favour of ReTs,/ EV converted ReTs whose files are lying in directorate for a long time.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Ashok Seth, Pritam Goswami , Ravinder Singh Rathore , Bhushan Khajuria , Ajay Thakur , Anil Sharma, Sushil Singh , Jagdish Chander Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Suresh Sharma, Rekha Thakur, Ranjit Singh and Mohinder Kumar.
