JAMMU, Apr 1: A deputation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee led by its president Roshan Lal Raina called on Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Jammu and apprised him about the problem of non-availability of matador facility in the area from last one year.
Raina was accompanied by the Committee members including Behari Lal, Bushan Lal, CL Zutshi, Badri Nath and Nana Ji.
The deputation said that the people during hot and humid conditions are facing lots of difficulties to cover a long by foot for picking up the matador service.
RTO gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that the problem will be resolved very soon.
The Committee also met S.E JDA for shaping and decorating Durga Nagar Park by planting trees and plants and providing different sports and recreational items for children.
The Committee also called on Municipal Commissioner Jammu and apprised him about the issues regarding lanes and drains.
The delegation said that the Commissioner has issued the orders of estimation immediately and assured them for early initiation of the works.
The Committee also met PHE Department and apprised the authorities about the leakages of pipes at various places.
