Fast unto death continues, protesting lady’s condition deteriorates

KATHUA, Apr 2: Demanding CBI probe into the rape and murder of 8-year-old girl Asifa, the protestors continued their fast unto death for the third consecutive day.
However, health conditions of a lady sitting on fast unto death deteriorate and doctors advised her to get admitted in the hospital for treatment, but she refused and vowed to continue with the fast unto death.
Large number of people along with members of Hindu Ekta Manch assembled at Kooth Morh and held protest. They were demanding CBI probe into the rape and murder of 8-year-old girl Asifa.
A team of doctors from SDH Hiranagar led by BMO Hiranagar along with police team led by SHO Hiranagar Tilak Raj reached out to the protestors.
The medical team examined the four ladies sitting on fast unto death and found health conditions of one of the lady identified as Trishla Devi, wife of Ashok Kumar of Rasana deteriorating. The team advised the protestors to get the lady admitted in hospital, but the lady refused.
A member of Hindu Ekta Manch namely Kant Kumar said that they will continue their fast unto death till Government announces CBI probe into the rape and murder of minor girl Asifa.
“No political leader is paying heed towards our CBI probe demand, which forced us to start fast unto death”, he said and asked the Chief Minister to intervene in the matter and order CBI probe into the incident, so that truth prevails.
