NSUI continues protest, demands revocation of SRO-202

JAMMU, Apr 3: Hundreds of NSUI activists gathered outside Press Club here and held protest against the State Government.
Raising slogans in support of their demand, the protesting NSUI activists took out a march from Press Club here and blocked the road. However, police used force and stopped for proceeding further.

The protest was led by Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, NSUI State President, who termed the SRO-202 policy anti-youth and must be revoked. He lambasted the Coalition Government for implementing so called “fast track recruitment” policy which is totally against the aspirants of non gazetted State Government jobs.
He mentioned that due to SRO-202 youth are joining terrorism and are forced towards drugs and corruption.
Shadab Khan, Incharge NSUI J&K said that CM is giving assurances from a long time to do something about SRO-202, but nothing has been done till date.
“If the Government failed to revoke SRO-202, NSUI will continue their protest against the Government”, he added.
NSUI State Vice President Amjad Bhat, Saleem Chaudhry National Delegate, Avjot Singh State General Secretary, Umar Wani and Nishant Gupta, State-Secretaries and many others were present during the protest.
