Ex-MLC arranges financial help for lathi-charge victim

NOWSHERA, Apr 3: PCC chief spokesperson  and former MLC Ravinder Sharma  visited remote and border areas of Nowshera-Sunderbani and held meetings with cross sections of society and took stock of the problems  being faced by them.
He visited the resident of   Jasvinder Singh,  who was injured in the recent public-police clash at Nowshera and lost his eye. Sharma arranged finance assistance of Rs 60,000 out of his party colleague MLC’s  CDF  and Rs 10,000 out of his pension for specialized treatment.
Sharma held a meeting of displaced persons of PoK at Lamberi and listened to  their problems regarding getting relief of Rs  5.5 lakh. The  people demanded full amount of  Rs30 lakh  to each family, as promised by the Government.
He also visited Jhanger area to condole the death of a student killed in the road accident and interacted with the residents who complained the shortage of drinking water due to non functioning of lift water scheme. He also met the people of Laroka, Lam border residents who have not been compensated for the loss of lives, their live stock and crops due to firing across the border.
