JAMMU, Apr 3: DySP DAR Kathua Gourav Gupta today called for de-congestion of traffic at Lakhanpur and installation of CCTV/Surveillance cameras in the town to monitor activities of anti-social elements in the area.
He issued these directions at a meeting with representatives of social organizations and market Unions at Lakhanpur this evening.
The people called upon the police to check the increased menace of begging in Lakhanpur area and haphazard parking by some of the transport operators.
DySP Gourav Gupta assured the participants that police will take all steps to reduce traffic congestion and check the menace of begging. He sought cooperation of the traders and social organizations’ representatives.
