Balbir seeks concessions for students of weaker sections

JAMMU, Apr 3: While performing his duty of serving the people belonging to the weaker sections of the society through welfare schemes of the Jammu & Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation, its Vice- Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, is also making efforts to secure benefits from other organisations for the socio-economic upliftment of these sections.
With his tremendous efforts Balbir achieved success in securing concessions in favour of the ten kids belonging to the reserved categories  desirous to study in Mount Litera Zee School, Anand Nagar, Bohri, Jammu.
An official letter mentioning the decision of the management was handed over to the VC by School Chairman, Parneesh Mahajan, informing that the school management has acceded to the request made by him regarding concession in fee for weaker sections of the society.
The management has fully waved off actual annual fee amounting to Rs 22,000 for the kids of weaker sections. Similarly a concession of 30 per cent in actual annual charges of Rs 18,500 and 25 per cent in actual monthly fee of Rs 2,500 has also been granted.
Balbir Ram Rattan, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for this marvellous gesture.
Parneesh Mahajan stressed upon the VC to recommend the names of kids from genuinely deserving families so that the prime objective of helping the poorest is achieved.
