LEH, Apr 4: Nyoma police arrested a woman for killing a widow over illicit relations with her husband.
As per police sources, a woman identified as Tsering Dolker, wife of Angchok Dorjay of Sriyul attacked a widow namely Dolma Tashi, wife of Tundup Tsering, a resident of same village with stick after seeing her husband coming out from the widow house.
The accused attacked the widow, as the latter was having illicit relations with her husband. The victim received serious injuries and died due to excessive bleeding.
After getting information, a team from Nyoma Police Station rushed to the spot and arrested the accused lady. The weapon used to kill the victim was also recovered.
While talking to media persons, SSP Leh Sargun Shukla flanked by Additional SP Stanzin Losal said that the accused killed the widow as the latter was having illicit relations with the husband of the accused.
After conducting autopsy at SNM Hospital, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites, she said, adding that husband of the accused has is at large soon after the incident and police has launched manhunt to trace him out.
Further investigation into the case registered under FIR Number 3/18 under Section 302 RPC with Nyoma Police Station is going on, SSP informed.
