JAMMU, Apr 4: Former minister and senior National Conference leader Ajay Sadhotra today said that the common people of Jammu are feeling befooled by BJP-PDP dispensation.
While addressing a public meeting at Bhure Chak in Mandal area of Marh Assembly Constituency today, Sadhotra said youth have been feeling deceived. They have rejected the `Jumla politics’ of BJP. He welcomed the new entrants in the party fold and hoped that party would be strengthened in Marh constituency and new era of development, peace and prosperity would start soon in J&K, under the leadership of Omar Abdullah.
National Conference leader said that by raising emotional issues, BJP misled the people of Jammu. BJP promised with the people of Jammu to abrogate Article 370, 35-A, peace at border, settlement of West Pakistan refugees, employment to youth but failed on all fronts and all proved to be Jumla. For long 70 years BJP was talking of discrimination with Jammu but now they are mum.
Besides this, BJP and Prime Minister Modi promised of ACHE DIN but the people are facing Sabse Bure Din in 70 years. Atmosphere of unrest in every section of the society has made people disgusted and helpless. The people are feeling that they have been befooled and there is no body to listen to them from the Government side.
Former minister said broken promises have given rise to alienation. The people of Jammu are feeling that the BJP has done big joke with the people by breaking all the promises. J&K is a sensitive state, the behavior of BJP shall prove to be disastrous for the nation.
Sadhotra said this is high time to give sense of belonging to the people of Jammu so that they could have sigh of relief and the fast rise in alienation needs to be checked at the earliest.
